Additionally, we explore leading security frameworks such as GSMA guidelines and OWASP IoT. The course content unfolds in four essential units, covering fundamentals of IoT and its challenges, to security in cloud providers and IoT security frameworks. Objetivos
IoT or the Internet of Things, refers to the interconnection that exists between computerized devices that are installed in common daily objects that enables them to transmit and receive information. IoT connects regular devices to the internet and to other devices so they may perform new functions such as controlling intelligent elements remotely and receive alerts and status updates. Asa matter of fact, billions of physical devices are currently interconnected and collecting and sharing data through the net, which may pose a risk to the users due to the number of existing vulnerabilities, and the absence of the necessary protection that makes them an open door to potential attacks to the net. OBJECTIVES - IoT reference models, IoT security principles, common incidents, and botnet networks. - IoT security challenges: limited resources in the device, Identity and authentication, operations and maintenance - Applied Security: measures at the different IoT reference model layers, knowledge about the measures in Amazon Web Services and Azure IoT - Security Frameworks: GMSA Security Guidelines & Self Assessment, OWASP IoT, Online rust Alliance, Cloud Security Alliance and Industrial Internet Consortium.
